Thank you for the comment. I think that it is fair to say that tires that don&#039;t go flat in general would be great for most consumers! There are already run-flat tires out there on which consumers can drive up to 50 miles and that technology should only improve over time. As you can imagine, this type of tire could be another great option for consumers.]]></description>

The big challenge in tire manufacuring is getting the tire to be durable and thick yet being able to keep it lightweight.  The problem when you go too lightweight though is that the tire becomes thin and punctures easily. My prediction is that in the next 5 years or so, a tire manufacturer will invent and implement a tire that gets self filled on the fly by some kind of pump or pressure monitor internally on the vehicle.]]></description>
